Enameled cca wire is a new type of magnet wire that uses copper-clad aluminum bimetallic material as the inner conductor. Its electrical and mechanical properties are between copper and aluminum. It combines the excellent electrical conductivity of copper and the lightweight of aluminum. The insulation performance is comparable to that of copper. The enameled wire is the same.
The advantages of enameled cca wire:
1. DC resistivity: The DC resistivity of enameled cca wire is about 1.5 times that of pure copper wire. When the resistance value is the same, the weight of copper clad aluminum wire is about 1/2.5 of pure copper wire; according to the "skin effect" calculation, at 5MHZ At the above high frequency, the resistivity is the same as pure copper wire;
2. Good weldability: The copper-clad aluminum wire is concentrically coated with a layer of pure copper, so it has the same weldability as pure copper wire without special treatment like aluminum wire.
3. Lightweight: The specific gravity of copper-clad aluminum wire is only 37%-40% of pure copper wire. When the wire diameter and weight are equal, its length is twice that of pure copper wire.
